A one-day workshop where you will make a useful pouch that can be used as a small bag, glasses case or phone cover. You will get the opportunity to add your own decoration and learn how to finish off at home once your piece is dry (if you want to add anything to it). We will work using British wools and create our pouch in one piece, using a resist. A resist is a way of making a 3D piece of felt in one piece, with no seams. The workshop is suitable for beginners. Felt is fabulous for embroidering onto. If you enjoy embroidery, you can sew own design onto your pouch when it is dry.

You will learn how to lay out your wool, add embellishments to decorate your work. We will also look at adding buttons and button holes to create a closure. At the end of the workshop you will have a useful pouch or small bag and we will discuss how you can develop this into othr shapes and sizes to create items such as ipad covers or clutch bags.

All materials are provided and you need only bring an apron – preferably waterproof.
