A one-day workshop where you will learn how to felt using a resist. A resist is a way of making a 3D piece of felt in one piece, with no seams. It is suitable for beginners and we will work on making a single piece of felt which will be shaped around a glass to create a water holding vase.

You will learn how to lay out your wool, add embellishments to decorate your work and how to felt and shape it around a glass container. At the end of the workshop you will have a fully functional vase and we will discuss ways you can develop your work to create other items. This is the basics of felting on with a resist and is a gateway to learning how to felt other items, including bags, tea cosies, hats and clothing.

All materials are provided and you need only bring an apron – preferably waterproof.
