Tataki Zome : the art of dry dyeing with Flowers

The Japanese art of Tataki Zome is a fabulous method of extracting dyes directly from flowers and leaves onto papers and fabrics. On this half day workshop you will have the chance to learn the technique and experiment with different flowers and leaves. As well as making sample and test pieces, we will make a floral composition that you can either frame or add to other textile art projects. The method we use means you will also have several scrap pieces from your finished picture that you can use to create patchwork pictures, add to scrap journals or use in card making.

All materials will be supplied, however you are welcome to bring any flowers or leaves with you that you would like to experiment with.

Friday 12th July from 1.00 to 3.00pm

Cost including all materials £18
